Water & Electricity

 Water & Electricity

The quality of the tap water has been very much bettered of late and the water is very safe to drink.

Some prefer to drink bottled water. There are several brands both local and mostly Italian water bottles and the prices vary.

The electricity voltage is a nominal 220volts AC for a single phase line (for non-industrial uses). The outlets are British standard quality, 13 amp sockets.

When renting a self-catering unit for a short term, the water, electricity and gas usage is included in the price. There will be no separate charge for them.

If renting a self-catering unit for a long term (longer than two months) there could be separate charges for the rent and for the consumption of water, electricity and gas, according to the contract that you sign (if there is one!).

The best time to long let a self-actering unit is during the off-season (October to May/June) when the prices are low.

Some self-catering units do offer an ambient heating unit especially in winter and all offer cold and hot water.
